Honing in on the idea of animal abuse with cosmetics and clothing, this campaign leaves the viewer with the uncomfortable thought of exhibiting these animals on themselves in what they use and wear through different interactive mediums.
The three print ads are intended to mock the typical cosmetic print ads found in glamour magazines. At first glance, it seems like any general advertisement but when taking a closer look one can see components of animals.
The interactive mobile app allows people to customize their personal photos with a selection of common makeup products. The option to share these photos through social media presents a gruesome reveal displaying the effects of cosmetic testing on animals.
A web takeover ad was designed to live on any style related website. While browsing, the screen blacks out as paparazzi lights flood through. As a white carpet rolls out, a model sporting a fox around her neck walks out directly towards the viewer while blood drips alongside her every step. The ad closes out with a call to action to join the Peta movement.
Unleash the Rebel Inside is a campaign that highlights the classic look and style of the well known brand. Encouraging its loyal customers this interactive campaign allows them to reveal their inner 'rebel' personality.
With a customizable mobile app, people can record their most rebel moments and share them with friends and family through Facebook and Instagram. When shared through the exclusive Unleash page on the official Ray Ban website, customers are eligible for special deals and offers on products.
The Ray Ban Photo Booth is an interactive advertising idea to allow customers to capture themselves trying on a digital version of their products prior to purchasing. It gives customers a fun experience with prop accessorizing and photo editing options.
As a digital design intern at NBC Universal, I was given an experimental project during their transition to the new Publisher 7. Based off of their request for simpler design layouts, these are two solutions I came up with for show sites. Wide episodic shots used as a key art slideshow previews new episodes and encourages users to browse through.
The second project shown was a social poster series for the show Ironside. Upon the show's premiere, these posters were released weekly across all social media platforms in order to promote its characters.
Screen Cleaner 2 Go was a start up company with an all organic cleaning product for electronics. Based off of the client's requests and needs, this project has quickly evolved from its basic branding to its evolving packaging designs with each product released.
This was a group collaboration to create an online video to promote Arbor Collective Whiskey 8.5" Skateboard Deck.
As a typographic experiment, these record covers were designed with certain constraints and limitations. This project was a test in being able to construct a successful layout using a specific grid alongside a certain typeface, weight, and size.
Seventh Generation is an all natural, all organic line of cleaning products. Let the Truth Be Told is a campaign that pushes creative boundaries while using popular mascots to reveal the "truth" about their cleaning products and highlights the importance of Seventh Generation products.
Using a variety of different mediums, this campaign can live outdoors, online, mobile, and seen in print.
Polyphony is a typographic alphabet book. Different segments of the alphabet were crafted according to specific experimentations and directions.
Letters A through F allowed for experimentation with a single object and its physical elements. The combination of thick, thin, and absence was a visual solution for fluidity and movement.
Letters G through K was an experimentation with shapes and forms of different architecture. Collaging these elements created letterforms with dimension and a sense of visual abstraction. Hints of detail within, further added to the complexity of the letterform.
Letters L through P played with the confinement of four individual grid systems. Each of these grids formed an underlying structure that molded into unique geometric and organic forms.
Letters Q through V was a play off of both unusual and elegant letterforms seen surrounding us.
Finally, letters W through Z were constructed using everyday materials based off of letterform styles previously experimented with.
For our package design class, we had the opportunity of creating wine labels for Brion Wine.
Slumber | Awakening is a personal story published in a poetic form. Both poems Slumber and Awakening were written by myself. Completely handcrafted, this double-sided book was designed and pressure printed on Rives Heavyweight paper using Letterpress.
The design elements are a mixture of graphics in relation to the poems and are abstracted. Slumber is a story of being caged and sheltered and Awakening is the second installment about release and independence. The abstracted design starts with a congested state using dark gray tones, eventually progressing openness and clarity using cooler turquoise tones.
The book is encased in a handcrafted envelope packaging.
Ringology presents itself as a DIY mobile application that acts as a gateway to an underground website which allows women struggling with arranged marriages the chance to take action. Creating a complex system through simple interactive design, serves as one solution for this sensitive subject matter. The organization presented can be utilized therapeutically or for emergency assistance.
This is a very conceptually driven project with a simple user interface design with the intention of easy navigation for women in need. Ringology is a DIY ring making application which camouflages its access to an underground website. Sending an image of a simple handcrafted ring is the key for a confirmation code that acts as the URL for the website.
The underground website [ ] is encrypted and its interface is designed solely using icons. This is to prevent any trouble with family members finding out and causing further issues for these women. Any existing text is somehow encrypted. Chat text is hidden with quirky song lyrics after a two minute time span and important information requires a hidden hover point.
Our senior show concept was based off of the Kaleidoscope and how the three different concentrations in our class and department come together, use each other's talents, and reflect off as individuals.
I had the opportunity to art direct our main entrance installation, which was designed based off of our main idea. This installation required creating 310 individually handcrafted 3-Dimensional triangles starting from the floor and moving onto the wall.
